Sarah Baker

Sarah began her teaching career in 2002, after completing her Degree in Dance and Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham. With a background in Dance, she quickly discovered her passion for inspiring young people and went on to become Director of Performing Arts at her first school before stepping into senior leadership in 2015.
During her time as Vice Principal at Goffs-Churchgate Academy within the Generations MAT, Sarah was part of the dedicated team that transformed the school and created new opportunities for its students. This experience deepened her belief in the power of education to change lives, and she has continued to bring this commitment and energy to every role she has taken on.
Sarah has recently completed her Masters in Applied Leadership and Management, reflecting her drive to keep learning and growing as a leader. In April 2023, she became Headteacher of Flamstead End Primary School, where she has been proud to lead the school through a successful Ofsted inspection. What matters most to Sarah, however, is creating a happy, nurturing environment where children can thrive, families feel supported, and staff feel valued.
Looking ahead, in September 2025 Sarah will take on the role of Executive Principal (Primary Phase) across Flamstead End, with a special focus on shaping and developing the newest GMAT school, Oakview. She is excited to continue working with children, families, and staff across the Trust to ensure every pupil has the very best start to their education.
